The title of this composition derives from the presence of dual 'levels' of tremolo woven throughout the piece. The first, residing at a lower tier, is achieved by modulating the grain frequency of a pulsar generator using square waves. The second, situated at a higher tier, emerges as an interplay between two of these lower-level tremolo events.
While this composition can certainly be performed in a concert setting, its inherent loud and intense character also makes it a strong fit for venues with ambient noise. In such environments, the piece can retain its impact despite the noises in the environment.
