Attractors comprises 13 pieces, each commencing in a distinct 'state' and ultimately converging to a final 'state.' The title draws inspiration from the notion of 'attractors' in dynamical systems theory.
These pieces can be likened more to 'processes' than static 'entities,' where every parameter of the music remains in a perpetual state of flux, spanning from the macro level to the micro level. Consequently, the resulting musical phenomena often possess an ephemeral character, emerging and fading without deliberate forethought. While the structure of each piece may appear somewhat shapeless, the logical underpinnings of these processes bestow upon them a sense of purpose and consistency amid the ever-shifting surface.
